Pluto's Restaurant

Great food. My only complaint is that it is located at the mall and parking can be rough. We have been to the Folsom location as well but the food is great in both places and since we live so close to this one, we see no reason to make the journey to Folsom.

Great service and neat place. The gas fire outside is really cool. The crab cakes were good, but very strong lemon flavor. The surf and turf was very good but small portion for the price. The hamburger and fries for my kids were excellent. Second visit was not nearly as good. Host wanted to seat us at bar (we have a 3 yr old and 1 yr old), it didn't seem appropriate to me so I said no, she didn't seem happy to seat us in the general restaurant area which was weird to me. My wife ordered a wine which took 15 min to serve her, it came after we got the salad and came in the decanter with no drinking glass...I ordered the King crab legs, which were very dry and small portion for the price to me. Dirty, empty appetizer plates sat at our table all night and when they came with dinner the server only pushed the dirty plates out of the way.

Quality is the only issue at a place as this a skinny burnt artichoke should never reach the table. Bathrooms with 2 paper towel dispensers should never both be empty other than Consistency the crusted halibut and local dishes are amazing. A place with a lot of favorites to have but visits are as consistent as the food and service.
